On 16 May, VII International Antarctic Conference devoted to the 25th anniversary of Ukraine’s joining Agreement on Antarctic started its work in Scientific and technical library of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv polytechnic institute.
Moderators of the conference are Ministry of education and science of Ukraine, National Academy of Science of Ukraine, National technical university of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv polytechnic institute”, National Aviation University, State organization “National Antarctic scientific center”.
Researchers from scientific institutions of Ukraine, Latvia, and Turkey take part in the conference. They represented 130 reports, main statements of which are published in the collection of abstracts of the conference. The conference will run on two platforms – in Igor Sikorsky Kyiv polytechnic institute and National Aviation University.
Deputy of the Minister of education and science of Ukraine M. F. Strikha, director of Institute of geologic sciences of Ukrainian NAS, academician of Ukrainian NAS P. F. Hozhyk, pro-rector for scientific work of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv polytechnic institute, academician of Ukrainian NAS, M. Yu, Ilchenko welcomed participants of the conference.
The conference will run to May, 18 in the format of plenary meetings and in terms of four sections – “Sciences about life”, “Sciences about the Earth”, “Physical sciences”, “New technologies and equipment”.
