In April, 20, a regular class of Start-up school "Sikorsky Challenge" took place in Center of innovative entrepreneurship of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv polytechnic institute. This occasion was arranged for the presentation of Doctrine of sustainable development of Ukraine "Ukraine 2030" that was delivered by people's deputy of Ukraine, famous politician and businessman Sergii Taruta.
"We have already had fifth class of young entrepreneurs and innovators. These are forty five inventors and researchers who have studied in Start-up School and today they are going to present their own projects. For three year of its activity, Start-up School has trained over five hundred start-uppers. Some of their start-ups have already been put into practice and are quite successful. We can see that while training entrepreneurs that facilitate the development of highly technological economy of Ukraine we are moving the right way, - stressed rector of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv polytechnic institute Mykhailo Zgurovsky welcoming the participants of the event. And today in terms of today's class of our Start-up School, Sergii Taruta agreed to present the Doctrine of sustainable development of Ukraine. We believe that these two events are closely connected since we know that the Doctrine Sergii Taruta had designed together with his team is oriented directly on highly technological development of Ukraine. And the activity of Start-up School corresponds to the spirit of this document".
Thus, the work started with the speech of Sergii Taruta about the main clauses of the Doctrine of sustainable development of Ukraine "Ukraine 2030". The designers of the Doctrine have an ambitious aim to take place among thirty the most developed countries of the world. It is necessary to change the paradigm of the country, by redirecting it on stimulation of the internal market development. Herewith, the human capital has to act mainly as the catalyzer of economic development of the country. Thus, the key idea of the document is the orientation towards human development. "Human capital is the main value of the country!" - Sergii Taruta stressed.
Pitch-presentations of start-up projects by graduates of Start-up School "Sikorsky Challenge" demonstrated vividly the clauses of the Doctrine on the main factor of the development of the country - well-educated and creative human. In comparison with previous years, this year not only Kyivans presented their projects but also graduates of Start-up School that have recently been opened in Mariupol and Vinnytsia. Thus, there were 10 projects presented in total-six by Kyivites and by two from Mariupol and Vinnytsia graduates.
The event finished with the ceremony of granting graduation certificates and traditional "Sikorsky hats" and common photo at the monument of great innovator of twentieth century, that Start-up School as well as the university are named after.
