In April 19, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Turkmenistan to Ukraine Nurberdi Amanmyradow and rector of Kyiv national university of construction and architecture Petro Kulikov visited Igor Sikorsky Kyiv polytechnic institute.
Rector of the university, academician of Ukrainian NAS Mykhailo Zgurovsky, director of Center of international education of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv polytechnic institute Volodymyr Koval and pro-rector deputy for academic work (international relations) Yevgen Polishchuk had a meeting with guests.
20 students from Turkmenistan are today the students of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv polytechnic institute. This number could be higher, especially taking into consideration the fact that presently this country needs highly trained engineers. Thus, the meeting participants discussed the issue of increasing the number of representatives from Turkmenistan that are obtaining higher technical education in the university, mechanisms of target preparation for particular areas of economics of this country, improvement of selection of applicants for studying in Ukrainian higher educational establishments etc. In the end there were agreements reached related to further contacts for formulation of proposals regarding particular cooperation lines between the university and higher educational establishments of Turkmenistan and fields of study for students from this country.
