December 22, 2016 in Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute were held two simultaneous events - Startup School "Sikorsky Challenge 2016" release (1st degree studies) and startup contest between graduates from different years of study.
The competition was attended by 21 teams. There was 5 minutes on pitch for regulations and 10 minutes for questions and answers. According to the contest, each team top ten winners received funding to further project develop in "Sikorsky Challenge" Business Incubator amounting to 10 000 million hryvnas.
Presentations were evaluated by guests and participants of the contest, Startup School graduates and representatives of partner universities. They also determined the winners. So, by results of the top ten were selected the following projects:
- Words2Learn - Application for English books reading and learning new words (Natalia Sherymbetova);
- Social Music - Creation of a platform for sharing music via the Internet (Borys Topchiev);
- Sliiider - Tools for working with discounts from vendors (Sergiy Lozovsky);
- Open World - guidance system in the city for blind people (Ivan Selezniov);
- Camtouch – Using of a webcam opportunities for work with projectors. Interactive boards (Andrey Konovalenko);
- Robokids - Network courses on robotics for kids (Victor Shumylo);
- Magic crystal - growing special crystals at home (Andriy Schepak);
- ALL - Application for associative learning of English words (Volodymyr Korzun);
- Live my day - live your day in a new way (Elena Polishchuk);
- Smart Kid - An interactive educational game for children (Alexander hurt).
Thus, ideas were extremely varied and emotions were on a high level.
