On May 15, 2017, a regular meeting of the Academic Council of the University took place. It began with the greetings of jubiljars: S. I. Sydorenko, the vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical work, A. M. of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, V. S. Didkovsyi, Head of the Department of FE, M. Ye. Dudkin, Head of the Department of FPhM, and Ya. V. Zaulychnyi, Head of the Department of FPhE.
Then, the Professor certificate was then given to the acting Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering O. V. Lebediev. After that, Yu. I. Yakymenko presented the Gratitude of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine to the dean of the FMM O. A. Gavrysh and the Certificates of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine to the staff of the newspaper “Kyiv Polytechnic”. In addition, there was a rewarding of the university employees on the occasion of the Day of Science.
The first issue of the agenda was the election of the chairman of the Academic Council of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. The word was given to the academic secretary A. A. Melnychenko. The candidacy of Rector M. Z. Zghurovsky was offered and elected by secret voting. It should be noted that the election of the chairman of the Academic Council of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute was carried out for the first time in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education”. The vice chairmen of the Academic Council were also elected by the open voting.
The next reporter was the Deputy head of the expert-qualification commission S. P. Hozhii, who dwelled on the approval of the Regulations on the organization of the educational process in the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. Sergii Petrovych informed that the new version of the Regulation was checked and recommended at the meeting of the Methodological Commission on January 26, 2017. These Regulations determine the maximum and minimum load of scientific and pedagogical workers and requirements to the level of their scientific and professional activity.
After that, the first vice-rector Yu. I. Yakymenko reported on the approval of the amendments to the Rules of Admission in 2017. He announced the stages of the 2017 admission campaign for the 1st and 5th-year students and provided the draft criteria for the state order for masters training.
Further, the word was given to the Director of EQMI, M. M. Perestyuk, on the results of the integrated monitoring of the quality of training specialists in the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. She announced the results of rector's quality control of the long-term residual knowledge and introduced the results of the integrated monitoring of the quality of training professionals in the specialities of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
The provost M. Yu. Ilchenko reported on the state budget work contest. By the units of the University, 49 projects were registered in the united information system “Science in Universities” for consideration at the university level. There were submitted 11 fundamental works, 32 applied works and 6 scientific and technical developments. It was also noted that 10 units of the university united into scientific collectives and formed some complex projects of the interfaculty, inter-departmental levels and on the interdisciplinary subjects.
Finally, the competition issues and current affairs were discussed.
