On May, 5th solemn meeting on 71st Victory Day anniversary celebration took place in NTUU ‘KPI’.
Meeting participants commemorated students, lecturers and KPI employees who didn’t come back from the WW2, and students and university colleagues who gave their lives for Ukrainian freedom in present times. On behalf of all who gathered in the Academic Board Hall, officers and students of the Institute of Connection and Information Protection of NTUU ‘KPI’ laid flowers to WW2 dead soldiers monument: students, lecturer and KPI workers, as well as to the Heavenly Hundred Monument.
‘Dear veterans! Ukraine would not exist as a state without your courageous feats of arms and work. Still remain in duty, – Yurii Yakymenko, the first vice-rector of NTUU ‘KPI’, academician of the National Academy of Science of Ukraine, addressed to the veterans. – Good health to you! Long years of life wish you. Honor and fame to your, courageous winners! ’
Vitalii Molchanov, the head of trade union of university workers, Igor Rozhnetskyi, the head of civil organization ‘KPI veterans’, Yurii Nesterenko, the veteran of Military Forces of Ukraine, Nazar Luchko, a student of the Institute of Special Connection and Information Protection and junior sergeant, Kateryna Bondarenko, an activist of volunteering battalion of NTUU ‘KPI’ warmly congratulated the WW2 veterans from Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and present defenders of the Motherland.
Finally, the members of the Arts and Culture Centre of NTUU ‘KPI’ called ‘The Seventh Feeling’ (Svitlana Tokar – creative director) gave a performance with military songs and poems.
Traditionally, the meeting ended with taking commemorative mutual photo.
