April 29, 2015 in Slavutych was held the Second international scientific-practical seminar students, scientists and entrepreneurs "smart city Technologies in the XXI century". The seminar was organized Slavutich a branch of the National technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute".

Workshop topics included the following questions:

  • The concept of "smart city".
  • Information technology as the basis for building "smart cities".
  • Security systems industrial and social infrastructure facilities.
  • Geographic information systems.
  • Information technology, as a basis for the optimization of technologies in the energy sector.
  • Extensions Slavutich branch of NTUU " KPI " with the assistance of modern technologies of distance learning.

The seminar was attended by students, postgraduates, scientists, representatives of scientific-research and design organizations, commercial firms, as well as representatives of public authorities and local government of the city of Slavutych. The first such seminar took place in April of last year and caused considerable interest among the audience. This year the seminar was attended by the Widow. P. (mayor. Slavutych, 1990-2015), V. a. mayor Fomichev Yu. K. and his Deputy Shevchenko V. V., Director of "Atomremontservis" NNEGC "Energoatom" Shikun V. A., representatives of SSE "Chernobyl NPP", regional development Agency, the company "Pokes", Institute of problems of mathematical machines and systems of NASU; representatives of international companies and organizations SP "NOVARKA", sue "improved security", the PMU; JBS, IVL, UNMMC, teachers and graduate students of Chernihiv national technological University, KNU. Special note is the participation in the seminar the Chairman of the Association of enterprises of the industrial automation of Ukraine Alexander Vladimirovich Archaka and CEO of the firm TOV Phoenix Contact–Ukraine Oleg Nikolaevich Mikhailov, who noted the high level of cooperation with the Federation Council of NTUU " KPI " in the Association for development of automation of the enterprises of Ukraine, and reported the adoption of Slavutich branch of NTUU KPI to APPAU in the status of an academic member. The seminar was opened by the Director of Slavutich branch of NTUU "KPI", doctor of technical Sciences, Professor, corresponding member of NAS of Ukraine Anatoliy Vladimirovich Nosovsky, who stressed the vital importance of such events and the need for and the appropriateness of their conduct for students, and for scientists, entrepreneurs and potential employers of the city of Slavutych. Such meetings could not be better to contribute not only to the students the necessary practice in the application of the latest computer and information technologies, but also the establishment of links with businesses and institutions to establish mutually beneficial relations and fruitful cooperation in the application of emerging technologies to solve existing problems.

Senior seminar senior lecturer branch Maxim Vladimirovich Savel'ev outlined the theme of the seminar, noted its relevance in the context of the transition of humanity into the twenty-first century in the new information space, acquainted the participants with the global trends in the construction of smart cities and highlighted the role called Slavutich in creating and implementing the concept of smart cities in Ukraine.

With a vivid report on "Social and technological breakthroughs are the components of success of the future of Ukraine" was made by doctor of economic Sciences, Professor. P. Udovichenko, – the permanent mayor. Slavutych during 1990-2015.

Prospects of development of the city in the framework of the project "woodland silicon valley" revealed the city Council Secretary. Slavutych, VA. mayor, J. K. Fomichev, a logical continuation of the report the report of the first Deputy of the Chairman. V. Shevchenko – "Implementation of energy saving projects and the establishment of energy management in Slavutych with the involvement of international experience".

With the latest scientific and practical researches in the field of energy efficiency of municipal facilities shall be performed by the Chernihiv national technological University, associate Professor I. S. Skeeter. His report clearly demonstrated how science can solve urgent problems. It should be noted that Slavutitske branch of NTUU KPI and CHSTU a long-standing and fruitful collaboration that helps students branch in teaching and in research.

Another report from the University of Chernihiv "Information technology management agriculture" was presented by the graduate student Ivan Mikhaylyuk. He not only told me about his scientific work, but also showed the commonality of issues and challenges facing distributed socio-technological environment, which is not only urban, but also rural municipal economic education.

It should be noted the report of the Director OP "ARS" NNEGC "Energoatom". A. Shikun, during which he not only outlined the range of issues dealt with in his enterprise, but also determined the direction of future cooperation with Slavutich branch in the part of the students ' design and technological practices. For its part, the branch invited the head of the OP "ARS" participation in joint projects, through which it is possible to effectively transfer the academic knowledge to industry.

With the interest of the participants met the report "Geology "smart cities" doctor of geological Sciences, Professor of the Kyrgyz national University n. a. Shevchenko, Elena Mikhailovna Vannic. For many attendees was the discovery that the Geology is relevant not only for earthquake-prone areas, but for any municipal education in Ukraine. Participants called for the development of further cooperation and inter-University contacts.

A very interesting and important from the point of view of practical application of modern techniques of information systems development, presentations, business analyst at JBS Julia Yasenok – for example, "service of mobile advertising", and the developer of the same company JBS Alexander Trikashnaya – for example, "service smart labels". They presented the finished software product Tipitim – application for mobile devices developed on the Android platform, with its practical demonstration.

I should mention the participation in the seminar former students of the branch such as: Maxim Pantin, the company "VNC Construction of the Grand Living and Bug Travo Publique", and Turks Anton, PJSC "Chernigivoblenergo", with their work "Client-server system for collecting and processing information. A prototype information system "Smart city" technology-based open-source software.

With competing project "Situation management center "Smart city" platform GENESIS64™" was made by a team of former students of the branch, and now the fifth-year students NAU Alexander Petrov, Alexander Kravchenko and student of the third course Slavutitske branch Valeria Ternavsky. This project is based on technologies ICONICS provided by Slavutsky branch last year in the framework of close cooperation for use in the educational process with the aim of training on a new, more professional level.

Also in the seminar participated by the students of the branch who already have some personal achievements and developments in the field of information technology. Among student work should note the presentation on the basis mikerowave project "Automated control system of mobile patrols of the Voluntary national team" the third year students of Anton Mosteanu and Roman Horodenka; "Creation of automated control system for the disposal of household waste" second-year student Stefan Vladislav; "Algorithm audiance in the system smart city" second-year student of Cyril Karpenko; "The use of specialized programs for electronic devices based on the Android operating system for the purpose of providing information and referral services" student of the third course Tatiana Elk.

It is completed the seminar Professor. M. Shatalov report "an Attempt of integration into the global education system", which outlined new methods of education are being actively implemented in Slavutsky branch.

This scientific workshop was for our students in a small but very important step towards the understanding of the complexity and importance of the chosen profession. The experience will contribute to the formation of the creative potential of future specialists in information technology.
