April 1, the third international conference "Nonlinear analysis and applications", dedicated to the memory of the famous scientist, Corresponding Member of National Academy of Sciences Valery Melnik, begun its work in NTUU “KPI”.
Conference topics include research areas, which developed one of the founders of modern nonlinear analysis Valery Melnik and his students, colleagues and employees. So that it will be dealt with problems of nonlinear analysis, variational inequalities, differential inclusions, attractors of multivalued mappings and flows, optimal control, decision-making under uncertainty, mathematical modeling of physical and socio-economic systems, as well as a variety of applications of mathematics, mathematical models and m. al. in various industries.
Deputy Director for Research IASA "KPI" Professor Natalia Pankratova opened the conference. Former rector of Vinnitsa Technical University Boris Mokin and Professor Viktor Ivanenko shared with the audience the memories of Valery Melnik.
Colleagues and friends Valeria Melnik - Acting Director of IASA NTUU"KPI" Pavel Kasyanov, head of the department of mathematical modeling of economic systems FMM NTUU"KPI" Vladimir Kapustyan, a leading researcher at the Institute for Theoretical Physics, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Oleksandr Vidibida, Head of Department of Applied and linear analysis IASA NTUU "KPI" Alexander Makarenko and others made the reports in the conference.
More than 70 co-authors presented in the conference 55 papers. It is planned about 35 oral presentations. The conference was attended by correspondence 7 foreign participants from Spain, Italy and France. Macedonia, Turkey and Poland.
The conference will last two days.
