February 26 Council of Young Scientists "KPI" held another thematic seminar on "Initiative study in" KPI "and promising areas as a way of organizing collective and interdisciplinary work."
The seminar was attended by teachers, graduate students and university students.
The participants were welcomed by Deputy Rector for Research V.I. Kotovskij, who spoke about the statistics of the initiative research works in 2014. He noted that its important task is the achievement of the active participation in basic research of young scientists and teachers, creating conditions for talented young scientists to conduct independent research and to develop their skills of leadership in research teams.
Assistant of the Department of Management FMM Anna Zhaldak drew attention to the main points of the organization of the initiative teams and their research and talked about some research initiatives in the departments of FMM. She recalled that the FMM is the leader among departments to implement the action research: it now runs 22 initiatives applied scientific work. In 2014, as part of the initiative at the Faculty there were issued 25 monographs, 3 textbooks, 5 textbooks stamped MES, protected 21 master's thesis, published 686 scientific articles.
The workshop reviewed the initiatives in the development of the IT industry. The senior lecturer ESITS Alexander Mazurenko informed the audience about them. He told about the operating principles of Internet working platforms. He specified where one can learn about the demand for modern technology, to find consumers find of the development, as well as to acquire specific knowledge and skills.
Interesting examples were already completed projects. They are a testament to the fact that any specialist NTUU "KPI", which has a modern deep knowledge in the field, has the ability to not only improve the quality of their knowledge and skills in practice, but also to earn extra income.
