Old-timers still remember that the Faculty of Chemical Technologies was once called the faculty of brides and wanted the graduates first get married, and then the approach professional realization. The current "chemists" are educated and ambitious. New areas of training, the application of new knowledge and opportunities for academic exchanges and internships are very promising today. So the fair sex has many chances to realize their creative potential.
Master student Elena Kurpiyeva is the Chemical technology of organic substances Specialist. In 2008 she came to the Kiev Polytechnic. Academically she stands out for her diligence, perseverance, and curiosity; she is successful and responsible student, an active participant in academic and social life of the Faculty and the University. Average success score is 5.0. Starting from the first year she was actively engaged in scientific activity: exploring methods for synthesis of b-amino alcohols with adamantyl and diamantyl substituents. She participated in an exchange program of students passing the practice in Germany and Norway. In her spare time she likes to read books and to photograph interesting moments of life.
The list of conferences in which the student participated only in the last two years, shows the effectiveness and relevance of scientific developments: XIII and XIV Scientific Conference "Lviv Chemical Reading" (2011, 2013), the Second International Conference of Young Scientists "SST - 2011", XIII and XIV nationwide conference with international students and graduate students, "Recent developments in chemistry" (2012, 2013), XI International scientific Conference "Scientific and technological development: economy, technology management" (2012), the ХIV and ХV conference of Young Scientists chemists and students in Southern Ukraine with international participation (2012, 2013), IV International Conference of Students and young Scientists on Chemistry and Chemical Engineering (2012) and others.
