December 12, the joint meeting of the Council of Young Scientists of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Council of Young Scientists KPI was held in NTUU "KPI".
The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of the MON of Ukraine associate professor of Poltava National Pedagogical University Yuri Kraschenko, the heads councils of young scientists and representatives of a number of leading Ukrainian universities, chairman of Young Scientists NTUU "KPI" Oleg Beletsky and others.
Vice-Rector of NTUU "KPI" on Science, academician NAS of Ukraine Mikhail Ilchenko greeted the participants of the meeting. He spoke about the support of the KPI young researchers, lines and forms of such work; about common problems that now the national higher school and scientific community faces; the importance of the participation of civil society organizations that bring together scientists, work on improving the legal framework of Ukrainian education and science and so on. His speech went far beyond the usual ceremonial greetings and identified some areas for further work session.
The same business-like style characterized the speech of the Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists at MES of Ukraine Yuriy Kraschenko. There were in his speech not only concern about the processes that are underway in the management of Ukrainian higher education and research activities of the organization, but also considerations about how to improve the situation and how ensure consideration of proposals association of scientists in developing documents legalizing its activity.
The second part of the meeting was devoted to consideration of proposals to reform strategies of higher education in Ukraine until 2020. The participants discussed the specific issue of the functioning of councils of young scientists and university cooperation between them, the problem of regulatory support their activities, and more.
