October 21, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of India to Ukraine Rajiv Kumar Chander and Defence Attaché Siddharth Sant visited NTUU"KPI".
The guests discussed with the leadership of the university, the staff of the Science Park "Kyiv Polytechnic" and scientists of several faculties the resumption of full cooperation between Indian universities and the KPI in the field of education and opportunities to deepen traditional and establish new scientific contacts. In particular, they talked about the possibility of training on the basis of the KPI MS and Ph.D. in technical sciences for India, discussed the areas of possible cooperation of researchers of both countries and the participation of the University in industrial Exhibitions to be held in India in winter.
Rector of NTUU "KPI" NAS academician Michael Zgurovsky also informed Rajiv Kumar Chander and Siddhartha Sant about the organization and activities of the Science Park "Kyiv Polytechnic". The guests were offered the presentation from the Science Park: they examined the "mini" knapsack unmanned aerial vehicle "Spectator", a portable water purification plants "Owl" and mobile systems for the protection of areas, developed by specialists of the University. Authors of projects not only spoke about the possibilities of application and characteristics of their creations, but also demonstrated their samples, so the leaders of the Indian Mission in Ukraine's had a possibility to estimate by themselves the mass-dimensional characteristics and ease of set up of the equipment developed in the University. In addition, the Dean of the Faculty of aviation and space systems Oleksander Zbruch told about the range of UAVs with different characteristics and different purposes, developed at the Faculty, and the possibility of training at its base pilots (operators) of such devices.
At the end of the meeting participants agreed to continue contacts with the possible conclusion of appropriate agreements.
