October 8, II International Scientific and Practical Conference "Clean Water. Fundamental, applied and industrial aspects" started its work in the hall of the Academic Council NTUU"KPI".The conference is held under the patronage of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland in Ukraine Henryk Litwin.
Organizers and participants of the conference are: the National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute", Representative of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Kiev, the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, UNESCO Chair "Higher Technical Education, Applied System Analysis and Informatics", Science Park "Kyiv Polytechnic" , Ukrainian-Polish Centre of NTUU "KPI", State University "Lublin University of Technology," Society of Environmental and Engineering Chemistry, SPE " Nature Technologies " .
Rector of NTUU "KPI" NAS of Ukraine academician Michael Zgurovsky, Head of the Delegation of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Kiev Professor Henrik Sobchuk, vice-president of "Nature Technologies" Gennady CHornovolov, Dean of the Faculty of Chemical Technology NTUU "KPI" Igor Astrelin and others made their speaches before the participants of the conference during the opening ceremony.
Head of International Relations Department of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Sergey Myakushko read to the participants greeting from the President of the NAS of Ukraine Borys Paton.
At the first plenary session of the conference presentations were made on modern water ecological problems and finding ways to address them, in particular water treatment technologies that are being developed in NTUU "KPI", on the development of new approaches to the study of medical and biological phenomena that arise from the use of contaminated water, etc. .
After the plenary session, conference participants visited the Center of clean water created last year in NTUU "KPI", together with the SPE "Nature Technologies". This Center is located on the university campus, and the visitors got acquainted with its activities.
In the following days, the participants will discuss issues of fundamental properties of water; new technologies for potable and industrial water; the introduction of new processes and equipment supply; technological and organizational problems of resource; technology and biological and biochemical aspects of treatment of municipal and industrial wastewater treatment, methods of disposal of sediments and activated sludge; influence of anthropogenic stress on aquatic ecosystems, and others.
