In 1960, 110 young electrical engineers, specialists in the field of "Electric stations, networks and systems" departed to different parts of the former USSR.
Departed, but did not dissociate. Sense of unity, sincerity and mutual affection acquired by graduates during the study at KPI are saved till now. Regular meetings at KPI help to support personal connections of KPI graduates with the help of various communicational tools. These meetings are always inspirational. Everyone has something to mention, something to tell, because graduates - power engineering specialists worked prolifically, improved their professional level and reached the appropriate professional and public status.
Yuriy Timofeev was a Deputy Minister of Energy of the USSR, and L. Bychkov and G. Kudzinovska led with power dispatching services in St. Petersburg and cable networks in Kiev respectively.
V. Omelchenko is the General Deputy Director of the Institute "Energy network project" in Moscow.
Deep, recognized by scientific world theoretical studies of semiconductor heterogeneous systems, performed by Yemets Yu, Ph.D., professor, head of department at THV of KPI.
S. Romanovich (1937-2000 years), Doctor of Technical Science, was the lead researcher of the Institute of Mathematical Machines and Systems of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, an expert in the field of numerical and analytical methods for calculating electromagnetic and biomagnetic fields.
B. Yermuratskyy, Doctor of Technical Science, the chief of the laboratory of renewable sources of energy of Energy Sciences Institute of Moldova, is an expert in the field of research and development of effective solar installations.
R. Dolyuk., Candidate of Technical Science, working as a head of the laboratory of the Transformer building Institute in Zaporizhia, promoted to advance Zaporizhski transformers at the global level with the help of his research in high-voltage transformers.
Participating in the investigation of the causes of the Chernobyl accident, G. Dolyuk offered fairly simple, current limiting facility in powerful networks of high and very high voltage, recognized by experts, which was immediately implemented in the power system of Ukraine and Russia.
With the help of projects, whose development was led by graduates- power engineering specialists, created many notable energy facilities. Namely: elektrodistributive substation with the stress of 500 kW of Voronezh NPP (O. Raschepkina) ; the first cable line in Kiev with the stress of 110 kV and the first in the USSR closed substation 220/6 kV at the metallurgical works in Cherepovets (V. Laptev); systems complex of heat and electrical engineering at the Kiev’s CHP and also on TPP in Macedonia (M. Zhmurko) ; electric system of equipment control for thermal power plants and nuclear power plants in Ukraine and Cuba (S. Miller).
In many activity areas of the most graduates have occurred significant changes.
B. Sapronova joined the construction sector. By controlling the assembly department in KPI, promoted the construction of new buildings, the scientific and technical libraries, dormitories for students awarded with the title "Honored Worker» of KPI.
V. Smirnov (1938-2013 years) initiated the creation of Republican station of young technicians in Kazakhstan and supervised the development of existing models of new cars, awarded the title of "Distinguished Educator of Kazakhstan."
About unforgettable student years, teachers of KPI, which provided us with good basic knowledge about his professional career, personal and family life, and there were lively conversations on our regular (yearly since 2010) meeting, which held at the home institute on May 24.
