The IV Ukrainian scientific-practical conference "Current approaches to business management" was held on April 11, 2013 by the Department of Management at the Faculty of Management and Marketing of the National Technical University of Ukraine "KPI" and supported by the dean(director) of the Faculty of Management and Marketing Professor O.A.Havrysha, Doctor of Engineering Science, and led by the head of the Department of Management prof. V.V.Dergachova, Dr.sc.oec. The main objective of the conference - to discuss topical issues management with current trends in the national economy in a global environment - from a purely theoretical principles of micro-and macro applied to problems of implementation of the principles of innovation, information and investment components of the practice of management.

The Opening Ceremony was held in the meeting room of the "KPI" Academic Board. It was attended by the head of the economic problems of environmental policy and sustainable development of the State Institution "Institute of Environmental Economics and Sustainable Development of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine", Prof. E. Khlobystov, Dr.sc.oec; the Deputy Director of the Center H.M.Dobrova for Scientific and Technological Potential and Science History Studies of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Prof. V.P.Solovyov, Dr.sc.oec; the Head of the Interdisciplinary Laboratory for formulation and implementation of science and technology policy of the Centre H.M.Dobrova for Scientific and Technological Potential and Science History Studies of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Prof. O.S.Popovych, Dr.sc.oec; Professors of the Department of Management "KPI", L.M.Shulhina, Dr.sc.oec, and I.B. Zhyliaev, Dr.sc.oec, Ass.Prof. N.O.Simchenko.
The conference format, in addition to the plenary sessions, involved discussions within the three sections. The conference brought together more than 175 experts, scientists from different universities and state institutions of Ukraine. There were represented 50 scientifically and practically oriented reports of young scientists, concerning the realities of Ukrainian business functioning in the current socio-economic conditions.
Conference was carried out at a high scientific and organizational level thanks to the coordinated work of the Organizing Committee, professors and postgraduates of the department of management, including: Ph.D., Assoc. O.Dudukalo.
The best presentations were awarded with diplomas. We also published a collection of scientific papers with more than 130 articles after the conference.
