October 7, at the National Technical University of Ukraine «Kyiv Polytechnic Institute» started the International Conference «High-performance computing HPC-UA 2013.»
Such a conference for the third time, NTUU «KPI» arranges in cooperation with the Institute of Cybernetics named after V.M. Glushkov and National Academy of Sciences in Ukraine. Its topics cover a wide range of problems: cluster computing in physics, astronomy, nanotechnology, computational biology, mathematics; the use of supercomputers in the industry, parallel programming; scaling up the algorithms; design of cluster architectures; planners; management of computing resources cluster calculations using hybrid GPU; parallel data warehouse; GRID; Сloud; distributed computing as a service, etc. It will also be held within the Industrial and technological Conference «HPC Day 2013», at which will be presented new hardware and software from leading manufacturers.
Representatives of leading research institutions, technical universities, laboratories and companies from Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, USA, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the UK, Spain, etc. take part in the HPC-UA 2013 conference, as well as teachers and students of NTU «KPI». In the plenary session were made presentations by Professor Sergei Gorlach, The University of Münster ( Germany); Andreas Glatz professor of the Argonne National Laboratory, (USA); senior technology consultant of The Intel, Vorobtsov Igor ( Russia ); Sergei Dudinov, director of «Терминал-Сервис» ( Ukraine) and others .
The conference will last until October 11.
