On February 13, 2013 the exhibition of works of Israeli artists “In the footsteps of Marc Chagall” took place at the hall of National Technical Library of NTUU “KPI”. Marc Chagall was a Russian artist of Jewish origin. He is recognized as one of the most significant painters and graphic artists, printmakers, and designers of the 20th century who had managed to combine ancient traditions of Judaic culture with actually modern innovation.
NTUU “KPI” took part in events being held in the frames of Israeli Days of Culture in Ukraine.
On February 13, 2013 the exhibition of works of Israeli artists “ In the footsteps of Marc Chagall”took place at the hall of National Technical Library of NTUU “KPI”. Marc Chagall was a Russian artist of Jewish origin. He is recognized as one of the most significant painters and graphic artists, printmakers, and designers of the 20th century who had managed to combine ancient traditions of Judaic culture with actually modern innovation.
On the same day Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to Ukraine H.E. Mr. Rauven Din El visited KPI. During the meeting with the University administration Vice-rector in Charge of International Relations S.I. Sydorenko made presentation about the university, its history, educational, scientific and international activities.
Mr. Ambassador was impressed by the university with which lives and activities of well-known scientists had been connected.
Mr. Ambassador also greeted NTUU “KPI” teachers, postgraduates and students and expressed his views on relations between Ukraine and Israel. ”Despite of geographical remoteness of both countries Ukraine and Israel support dynamic and diverse contacts, organize regularly bilateral meetings and official visits of their results had being fixed by signing of certain bilateral agreements.” He is also convinced that a significant step had been made thanks to visit of the President of Ukraine to Israel who had called relations between Ukraine and Israel to be special. And Israelis put deep meaning to this concept.
The First secretary of the Embassy Mr. Vlad Lerner delivered the lecture “Higher Education in the State of Israel”.
Education in Israel has been highly appreciated. The aim of education in the country is to prepare children to decent and responsible life in democratic society, where side by side live people of different ethnicity, religion , culture, love to own land on principles of freedom and tolerance. It seeks to inculcate scientific and technical skills without them it is impossible to imagine development of the country.
Higher education is decisive factor in economical and social development of the country. Almost a quarter of a century before the birth of the State of Israel the Israeli Institute of Technology “Technion” in Haifa and Hebrew University of Jerusalem have been opened for preparation of engineers and architectures. The aim was to draw students and scientists from countries of Diaspora to Israel. The well-known universities of Israel are: Weizman Institute of Science, Bar-Ilan University, Tel Aviv University, Ben-Gurion University of Negev.
The videoconference with participation of the president of Haifa Institute of Technology “Technion” Mr. Lavi Perets was the final stage of the events being held at KPI. After the presentation of the University Prof. Perets answered students’ questions about possibilities of students exchange of both universities, fulfillment of joint projects and research.
The students received interesting information about the State of Israel and its education.
