On September 3, 2012 in NTUU "KPI" took place the signing of the agreement on creation of the Ukrainian-Chinese center NTUU "KPI" - "Leader". The purpose of the agreement is association of resources and efforts of National technical university of Ukraine "The Kiev polytechnic institute" and Lyaopinskoi electric design and engineering company "Leader" (People's Republic of China) for carrying out joint activity in the field of science, education, commercialization of technologies and an exchange of experts. Moreover, by the agreement it is provided that KPI will carry out preparation and retraining of specialists of the company in Ukraine and, according to the general arrangement, to provide educational services in the coordinated programs in the territory of China.
For signing of the agreement to NTUU "KPI" there arrived the delegation of representatives of Lyaopinskoi of the electric design and engineering company "Leader" headed by her president Cheung Yulian . Guests examined history and the real KPI, visited Scientific park "Kiev Polytechnic " and discussed with the management of university the offers about concrete scope of collaborations and conditions of cooperation.
The serious preparatory work of department of the international cooperation and a number of faculties and divisions of university in line with policy of expansion of communications with the industrial enterprises, the research organizations and higher educational institutions of China were followed by meeting. Negotiations with the "Leader" company related to the concrete directions, first of all, questions of development of "green technologies", wind and solar power and energy saving etc.
We will notice that it is not the first common project of KPI and Chinese partners. Now at university work the Ukrainian-Chinese center NTUU "KPI" and common educational scientific center of modern instrument making "New sensors and systems", formed by the Beijing company of modern space optical-electronic technologies and department of instrument-making faculty work. Therefore creation of the Ukrainian-Chinese center NTUU "KPI" - "Leader" became the next step on the ways of expansion of cooperation of KPI with scientists, engineers and representatives of the industry of China and creation of strong base for expansion of the academic communications and expansion of joint researches in power branch.
