A regular meeting of the Academic Council of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute took place on January 21, 2019.
At the beginning of the meeting the chairman rector Michael Zakharovich Zgurovsky congratulated the jubilees: Head of the Department of Radio Design and Production of Radio Equipment of the Faculty of Radio Engineering, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Yevhen Andriyovych Nelin and Head of the Department of Theoretical Electrical Engineering of the Faculty of Electrical Power Engineering and Automation, Doctor of Technical Sciences Mykola Yakovlevich Ostroverkhov.
After that, the rector presented the certificates of the professor to the professor of the Institute of Energy Conservation and Energy Management, Doctor of Technical Sciences Alina Olehivna Dychko and professor of the Faculty of Linguistics, Doctor of philological Sciences Larisa Ivanovna Taranenko.
The first issue was the approval of the rules of admission to the university for 2019. The first vice-rector Y.I.Yakymenko was reporting. Yuriy Ivanovych announced the terms of the admission campaign for admission to the 1st and 5th courses, provided information on adjusting the maximum amount of the state order of competitive proposals, as well as on the competitive selection of persons entering the university for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy.
Next, the issue of the results of the work of the Department of Perspective Development of the University in 2018 and the tasks for 2019 were addressed. The vice-rector O.M.Novikov was reporting. Oleksiy Mykolayovych informed about the functions and tasks of the department, determined the list of tasks aimed at the practical implementation of the "Development Strategy of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute for 2012-2020 " In addition, he reported on the results of work on the informatization of the university, the dynamics of property and investment projects development from 1992 to 2018. After considering and discussing the issue of the university's participation in investment projects, the members of the Academic Council noted the transparency and validity of the decisions of the investment commission and voted to condemn the actions aimed at discrediting the university.
After that, the issue of the results of the international activities of the university in 2018 and the task for 2019 was heard. The vice-rector S.I.Sydorenko was reporting. Serhiy Ivanovych reported on the structural and organizational restructuring of the foreign relations management system through the internationalization of the university, named the main international events held at the university, described the international activities of departments, drew attention to problems in the development of international activities.
Finally, competitive issues and current cases were considered.
