In the conditions of constantly growing prices for fuel and energy resources, deficit of funds in the state, regional and municipal budgets of the country, energy management - management and optimization of energy consumption and energy costs - is becoming especially important. Recognizing the importance of energy as a resource that requires the same management as any expensive production product is the first step to improving energy and environmental efficiency.
Energy management is a constantly operating system for managing energy consumption, which allows to optimize the volumes of energy consumption, to forecast and control the processes of generation, transportation and use of the necessary quantity of energy resources to ensure efficient economic activity of the facilities.
As the experience of European countries shows, the implementation of energy efficiency policies requires changes at the level of management decisions through the introduction of energy management systems in accordance with ISO 50001: 2011 "Energy Management Systems - Requirements and guidance for use". The ISO 50001: 2011 standard will enable organizations to develop a strategy that will improve energy efficiency, reduce costs and improve the environmental performance of the activities. One of the significant advantages of implementing the energy management system will also be an increase in the company's investment attractiveness.
The introduction of energy management is an innovative solution related to the modernization of existing production and management based on the use of the best world practice in energy saving.
