4. Scientific activity

Scientific interests have directions and implementation:

- new highly efficient energy conversion technologies, burner systems and devices for burning gaseous fuels in the combustion chambers of gas turbine units (GTUs), furnaces of boilers and heat generators in order to improve technical, economic, environmental and operational characteristics;

- real projects for the modernization of gas turbine burner systems and various types of boilers based on the creation of a new generation of combustion systems, control, monitoring and identification of actual parameters and characteristics of operation in real time;

- optimization of schemes and devices for burning biomass (wood chips, sawdust, pellets, firewood, etc.) in thermal units of municipal enterprises;

- development and implementation of highly efficient and environmentally friendly energy production systems based on contact processes of heat and mass transfer using various types of fossil fuels, incl. on Hydrogen H2;

- use of Hydrogen technologies for the production of Thermal energy for municipal consumers;

- Hydrogen Energy in the Cycles of gas turbines and thermal power plants;

The opening, work and scientific management of the Educational and Scientific Center "Ecotechnologies and Energy Saving Technologies" (2004) was organized with the implementation of research work in the amount of more than 5.5 million hryvnias.

5. International activities

Prepared in 2016 and submitted to the competition together with scientists from the Opole Polytechnic (Opole, Poland) a scientific project under the Horizon-2020 program entitled "Improving the environmental and energy efficiency and reliability of energy production systems through the use of hydrogen energy technologies."

In 2016 prepared and submitted from an international consortium (scientific organizations from 4 countries) a scientific and educational environmental project for a tender to the European Commission on the topic: "Improvement of the national system of training in the field of radioactive waste management, decommissioning and rehabilitation of power facilities projects."

Since 2015 signed Agreements with foreign universities on the preparation of masters under the program "Two Diplomas" : Eurasian National University. L.M. Gumilev (Nursultan, Kazakhstan, 2015), Opole Technical University (Opole, Poland, 2015), Warsaw Technical University (Warsaw, Poland, 2016), La Laguna Technical University (Canary Islands).

Since 2016, active cooperation has begun with the Academy of Sciences of Shandong Province (Jinyan, China). Since 2018, an Agreement on the preparation of PhD postgraduate students within the framework of international cooperation between the KPI and the Academy of Sciences of Shandong Province (Jinyan, China) has been signed and is being implemented.

Created in 2009 and the Eeducational and Scientific Center "KPI_BOSH" is actively working.

6. Organizational activities as vice-rector (2003-2014)

Organized in the KPI Department of educational work.

A computer-analytical network for monitoring the educational process of the ACS "Dean's Office" has been created.

Organized and implemented a program of holding twice a year "Job Fair" for the distribution of graduates in the firms and corporations "Metro", "MTS", "Pr & C", "Microsoft", "BOSCH", etc.).

The activities of the Scientific and Technical Society of Students and Postgraduates were organized.

Created since 2005 the International Olympiad among students of the world in programming "KPI-OPEN" is held annually (300 participants from 7 countries).

The Summer Student School "Modern Achievements in Physics, Mathematics and Programming" was organized and held annually (100 participants from 10 countries, lecturers from 6 countries).

The Center for Student Employment and the Center for Consolidation of Students have been created and are actively operating.

Established in the KPI annual solemn event "Graduation of masters".

Organized in 2010 together with the Council of the oldest power engineers of Ukraine and annually the All-Ukrainian competition of scientific works of students, graduate students and young scientists "Youth for the Energy of Ukraine" is held.

Prestigious student events are organized and held annually: "Freshman's Day", "Queen of KPI", "Mr. KPI", "KPI Talents", "KPI Days", KPI Spartakiad, Ukrainian Chess Cup "Independence Day", Ukrainian Go Cup , "Bogatyr KPI", Basketball Cup of Ukraine, Futsal Cup, etc.

The participation of KPI students in the EU programs for academic mobility of students (more than 200 students per year) "ERASMUS MUNDUS", Copernicus, "ERASMUS +" and in South Korea was organized.

Created and organized on the territory of the University of the University (120 hectares, 23 academic buildings, 22 dormitories, more than 19 thousand students, a security and protection service with law enforcement and discipline on the KPI campus.

7. Activities as head of the department of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry: 2014-01.07.2021

In 2016 documents were prepared and a new license was obtained from the Ministry of Education of Ukraine for the preparation of PhD doctors in the specialty "Heat power engineering".

Educational and organizational work with applicants has been intensified, which made it possible to increase the enrollment of students for the 1st year by 30%;

Career guidance for young people has been intensified – direct contacts with polytechnic lyceums of the city, for lyceum students organized and conducted scientific and practical seminars on the scientific topics of the Department;

A joint "KPI-SAMSUNG" educational laboratory of computer technology for 25 jobs was created with the use of modern software products, a database and software environments in the energy sector in training.

Work was organized to fill and use the KRI Electronic Campus for distance learning of students, a new website of the Department was created (the website took third place in the competition at the university), a Data-Base of students of the Department with electronic addresses and their achievements during training was created.

Justified and proclaimed in 2019 a New Energy-Environmental Paradigm for the development of the power industry "Sustainable development in harmony with nature".

Open lectures of professors and associate professors, mutual visits to classes by teachers of the department for the exchange of experience and modern educational technologies were organized.

The activity of teachers in three scientific schools of the department has been systematized and activated.

Refresher courses on modern issues of energy saving were organized and implemented for employees of public utilities, heads of condominiums and municipalities in large cities and district centers.

The industrial base of students' internships has been updated - new facilities have been prepared for internships by students of the 4th, 5th and 6th courses.

Direct contacts have been activated with industrial enterprises, enterprises of “Teplokommunenergo”, THERMAL POWER CENTRAL, well-known firms and international corporations BOSCH, BUDERUS, SAMSUNG, etc., with which Cooperation Agreements have been signed.

8. Pedagogical activity

In 2009 at the Department of TIHE, he created a common "KPI-BOSH" educational and research center with the arrangement of modern means of heat supply for residential buildings (heat pump, 3 types of solar collectors, condensing boiler, solid fuel boiler on biomass, storage tanks, controllers, automatic control system) , on the equipment of which students of 5 faculties are trained.

He gave lectures to bachelors in fundamental and applied disciplines:

"Technical thermodynamics",   "Theoretical foundations of Heat Engineering", "Heat and mass transfer processes, installations and cycles", "Methods of Thermodynamic analysis of Heat power systems".

Developed in two languages ​​(including English) and lectures on new disciplines:

- for masters: "Mathematical modeling of systems and processes", "Mathematical modeling and optimization of heat and power processes and systems", "Fundamentals of hydrogen energy"; "Application of renewable energy sources in energy production systems"

-for PhD-graduate students of different faculties:

"Low-cost technologies for improving the energy and environmental efficiency of thermal power facilities", "Environmental aspects of energy production",   "Energy and environmental management".
