Director of the Center for International Education, professor of electronic devices FE Boris Arkhipovich Tsiganok celebrates its anniversary.

He was born January 11, 1940 in the city Kagarlyk of Kiev region. During his 10 years of training he studied at six schools in Chernihiv, Poltava, Kyiv region. After graduating from Mining college of  Kiev (he studied in the same group with the future mayor of Kiev A. Omelchenko), 19 years old he started his career as a bricklayer, construction crew foreman in the construction of industrial facilities. Then there were three years of service in the army.

In 1962 he was enrolled the Kiev Institute of Civil Engineering, a year later moved to the 2nd year of the Department of electron and ion devices Department of Radio electronics KPI. In 1967 he honorably graduated the Faculty. All his future life and career are linked to the KPI.

During his student years Boris Tsyganok was the active youth leader, organizer, member of student's building groups in Kazakhstan and Siberia. After graduation, he was deputy and then the secretary of the Komsomol KPI, later he switched to scientific work. In 1975 he defended his thesis. In 1980-1987 he was the Dean for work with international students. In 1987-1988 Boris Arkhipovich  was the Vice-Rector for International Relations, in the 1992-2013 – the Head of the directorate on international ties.

He did a research at the Technical University Gelsinki (Finland), Rhine-Vest fallen Technical University (Germany), Technical University of Toronto (Canada). He lectured abroad: in Finnish at the Technical University of Oulu (Finland); in German – at the Aviation University Shenyang, in English - at Wuhan University and Changsha (China).

In Soviet times, he was a member of the scientific and methodological commission on electronics Ministry of Higher Education of the USSR. Boris Tsyganok  initiated the creation of an and long-time headed professional (expert) council for foreign citizens in the structure of the State Accreditation Commission of Ukraine for many years head of scientific-methodical commission on pre-university and basic training of foreign nationals MES. He was the member of the Institute of Electrical Engineers and electronics IEEE (1992), co-organizer of the program "Double Diploma" between FE and TU Dresden (Germany). Since the 1990s, he led  the Society "Ukraine - Finland", in 2006-2011 he was the  Director of the Ukrainian-Japan Center NTUU "KPI".

Scientific activity - Physical Electronics, photo acoustics materials and electronic devices, functional electronics, devices on surface acoustic waves using dynamic inhomogeneities. Prepared 4 candidates of sciences, 2 of them - foreign students. Author of more than 80 scientific and methodological works, including "English-Ukrainian-German dictionary of abbreviations in electronics", he has 11 patents.

He was awarded medals "For Labor", "40 years of socialist Bulgaria," the Knight's Order of the White Rose of Finland. He is the Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine.

Students awarded Professor B.A.Tsyganok diploma in the nomination "Each successive retake - a new language," keeping in attention his recommendation to learn a minimum of four languages. Boris Archipovich managed over the years to carry the soul of youth and generosity of the talent, remain optimistic and continued goodwill. Man, around which there is an aura of goodness - so  his colleagues and students say about him.
