On March 27 a delegation of representatives of authorities and research centers of Nansha – a capital of one of the most economically developed districts of China – Guangdong province visited Igor Sikorsky Kyiv polytechnic institute.

Delegation members were deputy head of administrative committee of development zone of Guangzhou Nansha district Ho Min, deputy head of committee of Nansha district of All-Chinese committee of national political consulting board of CPR Van Zhonhua, president of Guangzhou Research institute of industrial technologies of Chinese academy of science Van Hioa, chief engineer of Industrial technological information bureau of development zone of Goungzhou Nansha district Van Venzin, head of development and reform zone of Nansha district development Lee Hinhua, head of Industrial technological information bureau of Nansha development district Lee Chen, chief secretary of Goungzhou association of scientific and technical cooperation between enterprises Guo Fenzi, head of Goungzhou association of scientific and technical cooperation between enterprises Zhan Shuai.

After familiarizing themselves with historical part of the university and expositions of State polytechnic museum, guests had a meeting with first pro-rector of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv polytechnic institute, academician of Ukrainian NAS Yurii Yakymenko, pro-rector deputy for international relations Kseniia Yudkova, director of Internationa Education Center Volodymyr Koval, head of Department of computer engineering of Faculty of informatics and computer science Sergii Stirenko and other fellow workers of the university.

Kseniia Yudkova and Volodymyr Koval spoke about the history and present of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv polytechnic institute as well as its cooperation with other countries. In his turn, Van Zhonghua spoke about industrial and scientific and educational potential of Hansha district.

After that meeting participants discussed possible lines, ways and mechanisms of cooperation. Guests showed a special interest in experience of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv polytechnic institute in terms of integration of education, research and innovative work as well as practicalities of specialists training. Thus, that entailed creation of common educational and research structures, involvement of Chinese and Ukrainian experts into shared research projects, academic exchanges establishing etc. Among particular cooperation lines were opportunities and perspectives of data processing with the help of super ECM.

In the end Yurii Yakymenko and Van Hioa signed framework cooperation agreement that will be a base for further development of relations between Igor Sikorsky Kyiv polytechnic institute and related structures of Hahsha district and Goungzhou city.
