The senior lecturer of the Department of Industrial Electronics of the Faculty of Electronics (FEL) Dmytro Anatoliiovych Mykolaiets - specialist in systems of compensation of reactive energy – was also named among the winners of the university competition "Young Teacher-Researcher 2016".
Dmytro Anatoliiovych has always been into exact sciences. He graduated from a specialized school with in-depth study of information technologies in 2005, later that year he became a student at the Faculty of Electronics of National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute". In 2011 he graduated from the University with a degree in Electronic Systems.
The final year project of Dmytro Anatoliiovych was further developed in the theory of the construction of compensators with uninterrupted power supply, which became the subject of his dissertation research, which he continued while studying in the postgraduate course of Kyiv Polytechnic. During the last years of studying Dmytro Anatoliiovych combined studying with work at the department. In different years, he served as a training master, engineer, assistant, senior teacher. Since December 2016 he has been working as a senior lecturer at the Department of Industrial Electronics at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
The young researcher defended his dissertation on the topic "The filter-compensating converter in the system of guaranteed power supply" for obtaining a scientific degree of the candidate of technical sciences a year ago. The problem of the development of theoretical positions of single-phase systems of compensation of reactive power with the provision of uninterrupted power supply function and construction of the corresponding algorithms and control systems was solved in the dissertation.
Directions of scientific research of D.A. Mykolaiets are the problem of electromagnetic compatibility of electric consumers with the network, which includes such important issues as the emission of higher harmonic components in the network, voltage asymmetry, voltage fluctuations, etc., as well as the development of algorithms for management and calculation parameters of reactive energy compensators. The results of his research were the basis of 14 scientific works, including those indexed in the international knowledge bases Scopus and IEEE, and monographs.
In 2015 Mykolaiets carried out further training in Certification of Management Systems at the Institute of Postgraduate Education at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. The scientist participates in organizational work, in particular the IEEE Ukraine Section, where he held the post of Student Activity; in the organization of numerous conferences, including international ones, as well as in the work of the admission committee in 2011 and 2015. He is responsible for filling the site of the department of industrial electronics, is engaged in organizational and educational work, performs duties of the curator of the academic group and a group of future doctors of philosophy.
D.A. Mykolaiets conducts significant pedagogical work in the areas of "The Systems of Display and Information Logging" and "Power Supply Systems". Under the leadership of Dmytro Anatoliiovych and with his direct participation there is a substantial modernization of both the theoretical and technical part of the training courses. Students under the direction of Dmytro Mykolaiets are engaged in scientific conferences and take an active part in the scientific development of the department.
The scientist considers that responsibility, personal organization and persistence are his strong traits. So let scientific disturbance and zeal bring a worthy result.
