Bobrov Flavian Flavianovich (1881-1948) – Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of pulp and paper production (1938-1948). In 1907 he graduated from the Kiev Polytechnic Institute, during 1907-1917 taught here and in the Commercial Institute in Kiev. In 1917-1930 he worked on the pulp and paper production and management experience in the Central PaperTrust UVRNG in Moscow, at the same time he served as assistant professor at the Moscow Institute of National Economy. In 1930-1938 he headed the department of pulp and paper production Industrial Pedagogical Institute named after Karl Liebknecht, then Institute of Chemical Technology and the Institute of business executives People's Commissariat of Defense Industry of the USSR, led the research team at the Central Research Institute of pulp and paper production (all Moscow).
Since September 1, 1938 to the death he worked at the Kiev Polytechnic Institute. Since March 1937, Ph.D., in 1939 he was approved in the academic rank of professor.
He was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor (1944).
Research interests were devoted to improving the technology of pulp and paper production.
