📢 Staff from the Student Campus, occupational health and safety units, and other university employees and students took part in a practical training session organised by the Veteran Development Centre with the support of the Trade Union Committee of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
Over two days, participants learned how to:
☑️ assess a casualty’s condition;
☑️ provide assistance in cases of loss of consciousness and epileptic seizures;
☑️ control severe and minor bleeding;
☑️ perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
ℹ️ The training was led by Vadym Pyenov, Associate Professor at the Department of Physiology, Human Health and Safety, and Natural Science Education at Odesa I. I. Mechnikov National University, a first aid instructor and developer of certificate programmes.
In a critical situation, this kind of training helps people stay calm and act without delay until medical professionals arrive.
