☑️ Educational process
The spring semester has started. Education at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute will be held in a mixed mode. The number of full-time classes will double compared to last year. This is 660 educational components.
Approximately 9,500 students are enrolled in full-time education. During the year, the number of full-time students will grow in accordance with the increase in the number of places in shelters.
Kyiv Polytechnic is expanding the number of educational programs (EPs) that will be taught according to the dual education model. A new dual program with SE NPC Ukrenergo will be created on the basis of FEA.
On February 17, KPI plans to hold the second university-wide Open Day.
The planned accreditation of educational programs in the new academic semester has begun. The materials of two educational programs have already been submitted for accreditation. This week, the materials of three more programs are planned to be submitted.
Kyiv Polytechnic is involved in the experimental post-accreditation monitoring from the Ministry of Education and Science, which involves assessing the implementation of expert recommendations and taking them into account by the university.
KPI is working on the organization of the second All-Ukrainian Artificial Intelligence Competition. The organizing committee sends invitations to foreign universities to participate.
Pre-university training continues at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. The number of courses is increasing, in particular, it is planned to launch courses in French.
☑️ Research activities
Work is underway within the KPI space program. The dates and location of comprehensive mechanical tests of the PolyITAN-12U nanosatellite have been agreed upon.
The process of development of the Center for Prosthetics and Rehabilitation at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute is underway. A memorandum of cooperation with the RnD Center of the Ukrainian Medical Mission will soon be signed.
New educational programs for the training of humanitarian demining specialists will be created on the basis of the Institute of IEE. They will allow to train bachelors and masters in this specialty, as well as to retrain specialists.
☑️ International activities
In May, the university plans to hold the Sikorsky Challenge section on demining and ecology.
The Alliance of European Universities ATHENA supported the entry of KPI as a full member. As part of the Alliance's activities, Kyiv Polytechnic will also join projects on artificial intelligence.
On February 14, the Institute of MMI together with the SMS will organize a round table on the problems of aircraft construction education in Ukraine.
According to the results of the Webometrics-2024 rating, Kyiv Polytechnic was ranked first among the leading educational institutions in Ukraine.
☑️ Campus improvement
Active work is underway to increase the number of places in shelters.
Kyiv Polytechnic will start sorting garbage on the territory of the university.
The Kyiv Polytechnic Charitable Foundation for Support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine helps to purchase components for the garbage disposals for our military.
The Humanitarian Headquarters of the Students' Trade Union continues to work to meet the needs of the military in trench candles and other things.
