Do higher education institutions need to join anti-corruption activities? This is a question that, under any circumstances, should receive a positive answer - yes, they are obliged to join the activities, as well as become standards and guidelines for the right standards of behavior.
Anyone who wants to live in a comfortable, safe and beautiful country should join the changes initiated and implemented by the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (hereinafter - NAPC), and those who want to live in the mud - it is their choice.
Today, a meeting between Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption took place, which will be the start of another stage of a complex and long-lasting reconstruction of the future of Ukrainian society.
For the first time, the NAPC invited a higher education institution, which is our beloved Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, to sign a memorandum of cooperation.
The meeting was held in a warm, truly professional atmosphere. The communication was intense and interesting, as the parties expressed their desire and aspiration to work together on positive changes in the country. The time allotted for the meeting was over very quickly and the participants did not want to leave, as there were many topics for future cooperation:
🔹 joint training of future professionals to work in the NAPC and for the Ukrainian economy, who will be motivated to bring the idea of integrity and anti-corruption to their environment
🔹 internships and traineeships for students in the NAPC units, as well as the implementation of dual education programs;
🔹 involvement of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in international anti-corruption projects and projects on integrity policy formation in Ukraine;
🔹 introduction of a module on building a culture of integrity and anti-corruption for 1st year students;
🔹 launching an educational and professional program for the training of anti-corruption commissioners.
KPI was invited and gave its consent to pilot the implementation of the compliance system, in particular the anti-corruption system in the management of organizations, recently developed by the NAPC.
The meeting was attended by: Oleksandr Novikov - Head of the NAPC, on behalf of the Integrity Office: Oleksandr Starodubtsev - Deputy Chief of Staff of the NAPC; Iryna Chahovets - Head of the Department of Educational Work and Training Programs; Liudmyla Slyva - Deputy Head of the Department - Head of the Department of Educational Work and Training Programs; Anna Tkachenko - Leading Specialist of the Department of Educational Work and Training Programs; Anna Kovtunenko - Head of IT; Ihor Khokhych - Chief of Staff of the NAPC; and from the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute - Rector Mykhailo Zgurovsky.
Impressions from the meeting are inspiring!
I hope that students will be indifferent, join and help build a beautiful, safe and comfortable Ukraine.
