In October, Croatia hosted the INOVA 2022, 46th International Invention Show, one of the oldest in Europe. Three students of the Polytechnic Lyceum of NTUU "KPI", who worked under the scientific advising of Oleh Kozlenko, the head of the scientific laboratory of cryogenic technology at the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics, received gold awards there. Last year, the gold medal was brought home from the INOVA Show by Sofiia Pavlova, currently a student of the Faculty of Informatics and Computer Engineering. Today's story is about the scientists of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, whose young charges demonstrate their successful startup projects around the world.
Recently, we congratulated Liudmyla Bulyhina, the head of the Cybersecurity section of the Kyiv City Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Department (see "KP" No. 33-34 for 2022), who was awarded the Global Teacher Prize Ukraine 2022 and the Certificate of the Ministry of Education and Science. Today we congratulate Oleh Kozlenko – an Honored Teacher of Ukraine, the head of the Technological Processes and Advanced Technologies section of the Kyiv City Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Department, the head of the scientific laboratory of cryogenic technology at the Department of General Physics of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics, awarded with the Diploma of the Department of Education and Science of the Kyiv City Council (Kyiv City State Administration).
For more than ten years, his students’ projects have been receiving awards at the contests defenses of students' works at the Junior Academy of Sciences, the contests of innovative projects "Sikorsky Challenge", various international competitions of inventions and innovations. And it is not true that it is easy to submit one project to many competitions: each competition has its own requirements and its own format, and you should carefully prepare for each one. Among his charges are former lyceum students and now the students of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute: Igor Klymenko - the best student in the world in 2022 according to the Global Student Prize (see "KP" No. 31-32 for 2022), Volodymyr Karan, who invented infravision camouflage and received the highest award at the "E-NNOVATE" International Innovation and Invention Show in Poland (see "KP" No. 33-34 for 2021); Yelyzaveta Stoliarchuk, whose project of a wind generator based on a Segner wheel, won gold at the "Global Industrie" exhibition in France (see "KP" No. 18 for 2021), and many others.
"When a child comes to me with a project and is enthusiastic about the idea, I cannot work half-heartedly," the advisor shares. – “After all, my work is more than just teaching hours or some formalities. Kahliak participate in scientific conferences, report on the results of their research there, and prepare their first scientific publications.
Young inventors, who continue working on their projects in wartime so that the Ukrainian flag flies proudly on the international educational arena, are like a symbol of courage, stability and faith in the future. And the effective implementation of their innovative technologies and developments will contribute to the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine. So we thank the young patriots’ advisors for their ability to awaken the joy of creative search and new knowledge once again.
