Dear Veterans and Defenders of the Motherland! Dear Polytechnicians! On October 14, we celebrate the Defender of Ukraine Day, a holiday that honors our valliant ancestors who fought for the right for independence and freedom at the cost of their lives; the holiday that commemorates Cossack valor; the holiday of gratitude to the veterans of the Second World War, who defended our land. It is the day to honor the heroes of the present day, who destroy the occupiers on land, at sea and in the air, on the front lines and deep in the rear of the enemy, liberating the native land.
We bow our heads in sorrow to the feat of the heroes who gave their lives in the name of our state sovereignty and unity.
Eternal memory to the soldiers who died fighting for a free, independent Ukraine.

The Defender of Ukraine Day is a national holiday of indomitable, conscientious citizens who, through their professional, teaching, scientific, public activities, conscientious work and training, and volunteer work, ensure the economic, humanitarian, educational and informational protection of the state.
Lecturers, employees, and students of our university rallied to the defense of the Motherland from the very first hours of the russian aggression.
Currently there are more than two hundred employees, lecturers and students of the university and thousands of polytechnicians the graduates of previous years in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, volunteer formations, and the volunteer community.
Polytechnicians provide comprehensive assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The university has created a charitable organization - the Charitable Foundation for the Support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic".
Teachers, scientists, employees, students participate in numerous programs for the development of the cutting edge weaponry and military equipment, means of protection for soldiers on the battlefield.
Our resistance, our faith in victory cannot be broken, because the truth and our land are behind us!
History shows that our people are invincible!
