Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute has taken first place of 186 Ukrainian higher-education institutions according to the non-academic rating uniRank 2021 University Ranking (https://www.4ICU.org). 4 International Colleges & Universities is a non-paid directory and an international higher education search engine reviewing accredited Universities and Colleges in the world. 4icu.org includes 10,000 Colleges and Universities, ranked by web popularity, in 200 countries.
The ranking is based upon an algorithm including three unbiased and independent web metrics extracted from different search engines: Moz Domain Authority (indicates the number and quality of external links to the site according to Google Search Engine), Majestic Referring Domains (indicates the number and quality of external links to the site according to the Majestic search engine), Majestic Trust Flow (Trust Flow - Determines the weight of the links that are located on the site), SimilarWeb Global Rank and Alexa Global Rank (the indicators consider the number of visitors and the number of views of in ALEXA system).
The National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” has headed the rating of 186 Ukrainian higher-education institutions.
The second place of the rating took the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, the third – the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.

In March 2021, QS Quacquarelli Symonds, the world’s leading provider of services, analytics, and insight to the global higher education sector, has published an updated ranking of higher education institutions QS World University Rankings by Subject 2021.
The rating included 1,452 university curricula from 85 countries in various specialties. QS has analyzed the academic activities to compile rankings by specialty 51. The authoritative rating includes the following Ukrainian higher education institutions in the rankings by specialties: two classical universities (Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University), and two polytechnic universities (Lviv Polytechnic National University and National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”).
Ben Sauter, Director of the QS Analytical Department, commented the ranking results, ‘It is important to note the participation in the rankings of highly competitive specialties.’ He described Computer Science and Information Systems as one of the most competitive specialties.
