On March 19, 2021, the fourth minifootball tournament in memory of Vitalii Molchanov, Chairman of the trade University employees, took place at the Sports Complex of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
The Sport and Recreation Commission of the Trade Union Committee became the organizers of the tournament. The committee included Serhii Zhuravlov - its head - and teachers of the Department of Sports Improvement and Department of Physical Education.
Chairman of the Trade Union Committee Mykhailo Bezuhlyi opened the competition. Deputy Chairman of the Trade Union Committee Oleksandr Sheiko, Director of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute Sports Complex Andrii Gavrushkevych (the “Studentskyi Profkom” team captain, by the way), staff and employees of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute were the guests of the tournament.
4 football teams took part in the tournament: “Politehnik” (University football veterans), “Studentskyi Profkom”, “FIOT” (FICS) and “Energetyk” (the Institute of Energy Saving and Energy Management). The very first minutes of the match showed an uncompromising desire to play in the final. At the same time, players of all teams demonstrated high-quality and mature football. You could hear the guests and football fans constantly applauding to support their favorite team.
The final match lived up to the highest expectations. The teams “Politehnik” and “Studentskyi Profkom” reached the final. As a result, the team “Studentskyi Profkom” has won the tournament. The winner was awarded the Transitional Cup, while all players received memorable signs of participants. The third place took the “FIOT” team; the fourth took "Energetyk".
