Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute has signed a memorandum of cooperation with Ajax Systems, a company that specializes in wireless security systems and the Internet of Things.
We are planning to develop a special curriculum for students used in different faculties and departments; furnish a laboratory at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, where students will implement acquired knowledge. Our future plans also include: opening of TechnoHub in Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, hackathons and Olympiads; implementation of dual education system and organizing activities for the university staff. In the long term - joint startup projects.
‘Our meeting became the first step in a systemic cooperation for the promotion of both the innovative ecosystem Sikorsky Challenge and Ajax Systems. The cooperation will give us an opportunity to improve the training quality of engineering and entrepreneurial human resources in Ukraine,’ said Vitalii Pasichnyk, Vice-Rector for Scientific work at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
Olexandr Konotopskyi, CEO of Ajax Systems, noted that it is the fundamental education at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute that helped him succeed in the company, which cooperates with more than a hundred countries. Oleksandr is convinced that Ukrainian engineers are beyond comparison worldwide, so properly supported Kyiv Polytechnic graduates will have every chance to reach tops and promote the development of the Ukrainian economy.
‘We strive to share knowledge and technology with the students, who are interested in creating the Internet of Things, and slightly adjust the curriculum to up-to-date requirements,’ says Olexandr Konotopskyi about his future intentions.
