The Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformations and Digitalization Vitaliy Lavrov visited Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. During the visit, the government official and the university administration discussed the vectors of future cooperation and agreed to sign a memorandum of cooperation in the nearest future.
“One of the main and important areas of cooperation is the training of highly qualified specialists for the Ministry of Youth and Sports. First of all, it concerns specialists in digital transformations, information technologies and management,” – said Anatoliy Melnychenko, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
According to him, such specialists are now extremely important for the ministry - both in terms of setting tasks and technical support. It is planned that the training of specialists will include the creation of dual education programs and students’ internships in ministerial structures.
“We need to attract qualified personnel to develop our works. At the moment, we understand what we want to achieve, but we have to progress from an idea to implementation, and we see collaboration of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute with the ministry in it”, – Vitaliy Lavrov explains.
The ministry plans to create a system that will allow tracking statistics and analyzing the impact of the reforms on the state of industry. The direction of digital transformation is completely new for the ministry, as such a partnership is. However, experts are confident that collaboration with engineers will significantly accelerate the progress in work, will contribute to it’s effectiveness and efficiency.
