The Pre-University Training Centre for Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute will be opened in Hangzhou, China. The relevant agreement was signed by the University and Zhejiang Xipei Education Technology Co.
The centre will prepare Chinese entrants for admission to Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute according to the curricula and educational programs of the The Preparatory Division of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute
Kyiv Polytechnic has been training specialists from the People's Republic of China for a long time, so the creation of the centre is another step in attracting Chinese citizens to study at the university. The event is one of the measures for the practical implementation of the initiative "One Belt, One Road" (Chinese initiative to create a new type of globalization by attracting foreign countries and companies into Chinese orbit).
"We believe that this is only the first step on our long path of fruitful cooperation in the field of education. Youth is the future of the nation, and highly qualified specialists are the key to the economic prosperity of the state", - Yuriy Yakymenko, the first Vice-Rector of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, emphasized in his introductory speech.
