A summer is a time for vacations, holiday and international student olympiads. Yes, from 28th July to 3rd Augusts in Bulgaria the traditional International student olympiad took place in math of IMC (International Mathematics of Competition for of University Students). The organizers of event are University College London and American University in Bulgaria. 360 students became the participants of competitions from more than one hundred best universities of the world. Among them were such universities as University of Cambridge, University of Vienna, Еcole Polytechnique, ETH Zurich, University of Gottingen, Nanyang Technological University and many others.
The Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute was presented on IMC 2019 with three students-winners of the Allukrainian olympiad among technical and economic establishments of higher education in Ukraine, the first stage was traditionally conducted by the department of mathematical analysis and theory of chances.
The students of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute presented on international competitions: V.Shram (faculty of physic and math, 5th course) and О.Mishyn (faculty of informatics and computing engineering, 3th course) got the diplomas of the second degree, and R.Zhytar (Institute of the applied analysis of the systems, 2th course) got a diploma of the third degree.
These students repeatedly showed the high results on the olympiads of different levels, and their performance in Blagoyevgrad became the appropriate consequence of work of both - students and their teachers. An important role in preparation to the olympiad and bringing of talented young people to olympiad motion is played by a student group called the "Non-standard and olympiad tasks of algebra and analysis" that many years works at the department of mathematical analysis and theory of chances.
The efficiency of work of group is confirmed by numerous student`s victories, both on allukrainian olympiads and on international. The result shown by the students of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute on IMC 2019 in city Blagoyevgrad proved once again that the level of preparation of students of our university is not worth than the level of students from the leading universities of the world.
