National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” made a pact with consortium “Xn Tree Ltd UK” (The Great Britain) on 19 February.
A university rector and academic Mychajlo Zgurovkyj signed it off on behalf of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” and Dzhejvan Piter Chan (the head of “Xn Tree Ltd UK” and Prime Minister’s Consultant of startup schemes) signed it off on behalf of the syndicate “Xn Tree Ltd UK”.
There was a discussion before signing ceremony about opportunities for cooperation with a view to realization of innovative projects along with the “Xn Tree Ltd UK”. Chonsik Chon, the president of a company “Ecopartners Company” and Xon Txe Kim, the head of research center “Smart Farm” (National University of Konsung) took a part in the discussion. What is more both of them were interested in cooperation with National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”.
Sergij Sydorenko (the vice-principal of foreign affairs, reporter of NASU), Kostyantyn Yefremov (the head of the World Data Center for Geoinformatics and Sustainable Development), Yurij Sydorenko (the assistant of the vice-principal of academic affairs and Yevgen Kovalenko, the member of development team of nanosatellite) took part on behalf of our university. Quests had an opportunity to see presentations of university program “Sikorsky Challenge” as a structure models of future technology intensive economy of Ukraine and some aspects of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute Space program.
The consortium works with innovations and nurture modern technologies by uniting the best achievements of Western and Eastern countries and one of its main fields is an implementation of startups. So, the pact with Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute means to demonstrate technologies and services Ukraine and Republic of Korea work with. It is realized with help of projects based on “Smart city” concept. What is more to show an assurance of appliance Xn Tree Level-X Labs – a test platform of R&D which is used for implementation of technology startups all over the world; support of innovation companies that take part in the project “Smart cities in Ukraine” and help Ukrainian companies to develop in Republic of Korea and Korean companies to develop in Ukraine in their turn are the aims of the agreement.
The document determines the main ways of education cooperation, researches and innovations. That means realization of study program “Global Enterpreneurship training program” in Ukraine and in Republic of Korea; involvement of other big universities’ research laboratories to cooperate with National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” including Seoul National University; supporting the implementation of Kyiv students’ of polytechnic selected startups at Busan (Republic of Korea) and so on. It’s important to notice the partnership will be based on principle of equality, mutual benefit and compliance with treaty commitments.
