On the eve of Vyshyvanka Day that was celebrated on May 17 an interesting installation with such a name appeared on one of the walls of the H. I. Denysenko scientific-technical library of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
Nataliia Manzhulo – a prominent librarian – was its creator. According to Nataliia, she was preparing this installation during almost a month and a half: she was cutting out the patterns of traditional Ukrainian ornaments that can usually be found on dresses, shirts or blouses, and after that she was gluing them to the wall. Her colleague Nadiia Bielikova helped Nataliia with this work. A so called vyshyvanka-blouse on the wall becomes an embroidered towel in the end. This way we see the combination of Ukrainian national attributes. In general, it looks very stylish and extraordinary, that is why every library visitor pays attention to the installation.
