A regular meeting of the Academic Council of the University took place on December 4, 2017.
The meeting began with the solemn ceremony of awarding the "Honored Doctor of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" diploma, a mantle and a memorial sign to the Honorary Consul of Ukraine in the Republic of Montenegro, Predrag Milovic.
Then the greetings of the jubilians took place. They were: acting Head of the Department of Descriptive Geometry, Engineering and Computer Graphics, Ph.D., Associate Professor
G. O. Hnitetska, Head of the Department of Applied Hydro-Аeromechanics and Mechatronics, Ph.D., Professor O. F. Luhovskyi and acting Head of the Department of Power System Automation, Ph.D., Associate Professor A. A. Marchenko.
The next issue resolved was the approval of the university admission rules. A speech was given by the first pro-rector Yu. I. Yakymenko. He informed that nowadays a university entrant has a possibility to submit at most 7 applications to 4 specialties for a government funded education. In addition, the same list of entry competition subjects for all the higher education institutions was adopted as well as information on the graduates of pre-university training system was provided. These graduates are to be given additional points in case of a successful completion of the course. Moreover, the amount of government funded students and the terms of the admission campaign for the 1st and 5th courses were announced as well as the admission conditions for the postgraduate study were specified.
Finally, the competition issues and current affairs were considered. In particular, the question of electronic scientific journal "Mathematics in the modern technical university" establishment and the issue of periodical scientific publications of the University recommendations.
