At the end of 2017 at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute was held a scientific and practical conference devoted to the 92nd anniversary of the Radio Technical club “Polytechnic” UT7UZA. At the conference participated 72 scientists from Kyiv, Kyiv and other regions of Ukraine. Most of the participants are students and staff of our university, as well as its graduates. Graduates could not hide their excitement and enthusiasm because of the meeting with their home university, which became even more beautiful and majestic.
It was a meeting of generations who came to meet with their alma mater, a great opportunity to meet old friends and remember the best years of their life. For the participants of the conference was arranged an excursion to the memorial and historical places of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, many collective photographs have been made to preserve the memory of this significant event. On behalf of the conference participants, the prominent radio amateur of global renown, professor of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute Serhii Bunin (UR5UN) put flowers on a memorial plaque to the founder of our club, the prominent scientist-radio engineer Professor Volodymyr Ohiyevskiy. Exciting was a small rally near the Faculty of Chemical Technology, where Volodymyr Ohiyevskiy founded a radio-technical club 92 years ago and the radio amateur club station R1KPI was got on the air.
In the main building, the conference participants put flowers on the memorial plaque to the ATO's heroes - students and university staff.
Special impressions remained after an exciting excursion by thematic halls of the State Polytechnical Museum under Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. It should be mentioned hospitality and consummate professionalism of staff of the museum. The conference continued its work in the hall of the University's administrative council. It was given to the radio amateurs by the university leadership, which assesses with dignity the role played by the Radio Technical club “Polytechnic” in public life and in teaching and educational process of the university.
There were reports about the glorious creative path of the radio technical club "Polytechnic" UT7UZA of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute its achievements of well-known radio amateurs and scientists who were involved in this club, the latest scientific-technical, technological, design and engineering amateur developments of the transmit equipment, radio measuring devices, antenna system. Particular interest of the participants of the conference was caused by samples of devices developed and produced by amateurs. They were highly appreciated by communication specialists. With great attention the participants listened to the current report of Stanislav Yermachkov - the Chief of the Army Signal Museum of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, about the contribution of radio amateurs to the organization of communication of the military-industrial complex. The latest developments of international standards were presented by graduate of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute Volodymyr Dzhulai, representatives of the company Rig Expert - Oleh Shuman, Oleksii Kazantsev, Olexandr Bilobrov.
A well-known scientist in the field of telecommunications, State Prize laureate, D.Sc. in engineering, Professor of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, Serhii Bunin presented a report on the role of communication in modern conditions and the prospects for its development. President of the club K-DX-CC Serhii Lytvynov made an interesting report on the activities, achievements and creative accomplishments of the club. Famous radio amateur Heorhii Chlyiants presented the honorary awards and Diplomas to the Radio Technical club "Polytechnic" of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and to the club K-DX-CC. Champion of the World and Europe, Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute graduate Viktor Bobrov told about the success of Ukrainian radio-sportsmen on international competitions. President of the UCC Club Volodymyr Latyshenko presented awards to the radio amateurs for outstanding sports achievements.
The participants of the conference became envoys of the University in the most remote corners of Ukraine, they conduct a wide informational and agitational work among young people in general educational institutions on future education at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
