September 22, in sports complex KPI Igor Sikorsky held a solemn opening of the rock climbing hall "KPIskelya". It will become a training base not only for the Kyiv Polytechnic National Team - anyone interested in climbing can do this. Eugene Kozak is an employee of the university and his associates, initiated the creation of the training complex. In order to embody the conceived, enthusiasts used the platform to implement ideas for improving the city - "Public Budget - 2017" and, among others, became winners, receiving 210 thousand hryvnias. For these funds, along with the Solomyanska RSA was purchased climbing mat, upholstered furniture, audio system and part of climbing clutches.
Eugene Kozak has been climbing for over 12 years. The idea to create a modern skeleton in the university came about more than a year ago. "We started on our own, but most could not afford it. It is thanks to the funds received from sponsors and within the framework of a public project that policymakers will be able to safely exercise extreme sports for themselves. That's the way: they would like to equip the audience for students, and created - for the whole district ", - said the coordinator.
According to him, at the time of repair the halls were asked by professional athletes who helped to arrange different levels of difficulty. This will train both professional athletes and amateurs.
KPIskelya already has own student team, which for the last few years has won prize-winning places at the most prestigious capital competitions. Nadezhda Sichkar is a 2nd year student, a member of the skeletal team, said that the workout helps to memorize the nature of fascicles, develops orientation skills on the route, the ability to walk it most rationally, without wasting extra effort.
University activists are invited to take classes in the new hall, and also call for the nomination and support of youth initiatives within the framework of the project "Public Budget".
