The 22th of September 2015 Deputies of The House of Representatives of the Parliament of Japan, that included in the interparliamentary Friendship Association “Ukraine-Japan” visited Ukrainian-Japanese Center of NTUU “KPI” Masahito Moriyama(Liberal Democratic Party of Japan) and Takeshi Yamaoka(Secretary of the House of Parliament). Lead a delegation the head of interparliamentary Friendship Association “Ukraine-Japan”, former justice secretary of Japan, Mori Eisk the head of special committee of investigation issues in nuclear energy of The House of Representatives of the Parliament of Japan(Liberal Democratic Party of Japan).

Yury Kushnarev – director of Ukrainian-Japanese Center, he showed gests the library which has about 15 thousands of materials about Japan, showed modernly equipped classrooms, showroom with works of Ukrainian photographer Maxim Solomka, he made his photos while travelling Japan, there was also compositions made by professors and  students of school of the art flower arrangement. Lecturer of this courses is Elena Kapranova, in turn, told in details about flower arrangements which made a great impression on japaneese deputies. Of course,  it was impossible to stay indifferent watching the variety of colors and shapes, which  was demonstrated by florists of Ukrainian school of the art flower arrangement. Also delegation took part in a tea ceremony, tasting tea and Japanese sweets that was prepared by  tea ceremony courses teacher Olga Silnytska.

Yury Kushnarev told  the guests the history about creation of the center, outlined the further  plans of the centre as a center of cultural and public communications between Ukraine and Japan. In the end of the meeting Viktor Ivchenko -  the head of the National Scientific and Technological Association of Ukraine informed guests with the concept of its activity, presents a project "Ukraine 2020: the future of Ukrainian economy - the knowledge economy" and proposed to develop cooperation in innovative ways.

And in the evening a reception on behalf of  Viktor Ivchenko  - the head of the National Scientific and Technological Association of Ukraine in honor of the visit of delegation of Deputies of The House of Representatives of the Parliament of Japan in Ukraine - members of the inter-parliamentary Friendship Association "Ukraine-Japan" took place in the Government Reception House.

It is necessary to note that the inter-parliamentary contacts between Japan and Ukraine began in 1995, and then was established Parliamentary Association "Ukraine-Japan". One of its main tasks is to deepen the friendly relations between the parliaments of the two countries, to promote political dialogue, to support the course of market reforms in Ukraine, and the development of cooperation in the industrial sector and agriculture.
