In addition to the Student Council of the University, there is also a collective of Student Council of University Campus (SCUC), which is an integral part of the student government NTUU"KPI". The Student Council of the University campus was founded in 2002. It is one of the youngest university organizations and has a wide range of rights and responsibilities. In 2013 Dmitry Zaluski (FEPEA) was elected as the chairman of the SCUC. With his participation it was initiated a number of important issues related to the coordination of the campus student government for tackling the living and social problems of students, improving the living conditions, and the organization of leisure activities, represent the interests of the inhabitants of the campus in front of the university administration.
The leadership of the SCUC, which includes: Dmitry Załuska (Chairman), the Deputies - Sergey Kyrylyuk (FE), Denis Haiduk (FW), Vladislav Gavrishchuk (FSL), Edward Zubov (FCT) and secretary Andrew Lyubenko (FEPEA), orginized the departments work and their interaction; SCUC now works as a one team. It was organized the training for young leaders, where they learn to discover and use their abilities. An important activity of the SCUC is to cooperate with the administration of the campus and hostels: information support and assistance in the settlement of the students, monitoring compliance with internal regulations, maintain the proper condition of the furniture and the sanitary condition of the rooms. SCUC monitors compliance with the obligations on the part of both students and administration.
The students construction teams are formed annually to improve the living conditions in the hostels. During the summer these teams tidy halls, classrooms and gyms. SCUC controls the organizational matters and coordinates their work.
A sanitary department controls the sanitary conditions inside the hostels. A tour of the rooms is carried out weekly. On detected violations the sanitary comission makes a report. The violators are undergone some penalties. If such cases are systematic (more than three acts during the year), students may be resettled in other rooms or recommended for expulsion from the hostel. Also sanitary department in conjunction with the Student Council and the administration of hostels carries out an annual competition for the best room.
A sports department helps students to be in the good form. Polytechnics can participate in tournaments and develop their athletic skills. Traditionally, during the year there are several competions: football and mini-football, tennis, billiards, bowling, chess and checkers, paintball, poker, etc. Sports department activists plan, organize and carry out competitions in the territory of the campus and the university.
KPI life is very intense. There is a cultural department in the SCUC. Its task to implement fun, interesting and creative projects such as: Student Day, "Htoo zverhu?", "What? Where? When?" Movie evenings, "Hell's Kitchen", Halloween, a photo exhibitions, meetings with famous people and others. Here activists master the skills of the organizers and ideologues, learn to work in a team and individually, make everyday KPI saturated and vivid. All events organized by the SCUC, are fixed by a media department. Photo and video reports, interesting promos - all these activities are represented by its creative team. You can find at the site media.kpi.ua video dorm, reports from competitions and championships, the archive video of meetings with celebrities and others.
An information department of SCUC is created to inform students about important events, topical campus and university news, announcements of activities and projects.
CPC takes part in many issues and initiatives. In particular, participation in self-defense during the revolutionary events in Kiev, the organization bycicle parkings near buildings and dormitories, construction of sports grounds around the 4th hostel and others. Some projects are in the process of creation, some already working. Activists organized by SCUC are involved in cleanup and development of the recreation center "Polytechnic". There was an interesting project to collect recyclable materials. Last year an ecological action was organized and about 7 tons of waste paper was collected. Now active students are organizing the collection of recyclable materials on a permanent basis. Money collected in process will be spend on the energy-saving lamps for hostels.
The motto of the SCUC - "Students for Students". We endeavor to be with our colleagues on the same wavelength because we are ourselves ordinary students.
