IV International Scientific and Practical Conference "Computer modeling in chemistry, technology and systems for sustainable development, CMCT 2014" dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the opening of the first in Ukraine Department of Cybernetics of Chemical Technology Processes was held 13-16 May 2014 at the Department of Cybernetics of Chemical Technology Processes FCT. Unqualified success and interest were caused by the previous conference in 2008, 2010 and 2012 that have demonstrated their relevance among the scientific community and industrial structures. The conference CMCT 2014 was attended by about 150 scientists (53 reports), including representatives from Ukraine, Russia, Germany, Switzerland, Poland.
Acting Head of Department T.V.Boyko noted in her opening speech that the conference forward path is a worthy monument to its founder and organizer professor H.O.Statyusia.
Traditional conference subject, devoted to the problems of computer technologies in modern chemical-engineering industries, has become a convenient place for communication of scholars modeling system developers, consumers of these software products, as well as the students with "Automation and Computer Integrated Technologies" speciality. There is the only conference devoted to the problems of computer technologies in modern chemical-engineering industries in Ukraine .
There were seven sections att the conference,: "Computer support of industrial processes", "Computer modeling of chemical technology and biochemical processes and systems", "Computer modeling in chemistry, computer methods for new substances synthesis ", "Computer modeling of accidents and the creation of computer ,odeling for chemical industry", "Computer modeling of environmental processes", "Sustainable Development of Regions", "Computer information technology in multilevel higher education". Conference proceedings were published in the collection of scientific articles.
Scientific and practical works in the field of computer simulation technology, industrial and environmental processes presented at the conference promote the transition to eco-technologies and sustainable country development.
