Young scholars and senior students of Kiev Polytechnic Institute are actively involved in various research competitions, and their results are strong support and recognition of our university and the state.
Every year (in February), the Presidium of NAS of Ukraine gives fourteen awards prizes to young scientists and fourteen awards for high school students for their work in natural sciences, technical sciences and socio-humanitarian sciences. The prizes are awarded to individual authors or group of authors for the best scientific work, as well as a series of research papers on a single topic, for the discovery and invention.
Following the results of competition in 2013 by a decree of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine of 12 February 2014 the prize was awarded to the best scientific work of students of NTUU "KPI" Institute for Energy Saving and Energy Management, namely, to Denis Ilienko, Victor Rachynski and Catherine Shcherban for work "Improving the efficiency of power distribution electricity networks sector of Ukraine under the terms of the concept Smart grid".
The main features of distributed generation and its main functions, features modeling systems with dispersed generation, regulatory support assessment of power quality by improving standards of evaluation power quality, technical equipment of energy efficiency, application features and compare characteristic of modern circuit breakers are shown in this paper.
The possibilities of further development of Microgrid in Ukraine are analysed and made the analysis and calculation processes when changing the elements of the system, single-phase electrical circuits by changing their load.It is also analysed the using of the acceptability standards on power quality evaluation in these modes Microgrid, the impact of impulse noise on the elements of systems are appropriate calculations. It is shown modern test equipment, including virtual research stands 3rd generation used in laboratories IESEM, and analyzed the feasibility of their use and provided the estimated parameters Microgrid network and its individual elements. It is given the proposals on the modernization of the substation 330/110/10 kV "Novokyyivska" with advanced technology in accordance with the concept of Smart Grid.
The topic of this work is very important and is now being implemented in NEC "Ukrenergo". The relevance of the work lies in the possibility of Microgrid systems in Ukraine, features and basic functions of distributed generation, the impact of noise on the current value of the signal transducers electricity and modern circuit breakers.
Young scientists and students who have been awarded, at a general meeting of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, which took place at the Institute of Electrodynamics of NAS of Ukraine April 2, 2014, were awarded with diplomas with appropriate form by B.S.Stohniyem.
