Olympiad in Theoretical Mechanics for students "KPI" was held March 6, 2014. There were 48 students-representatives of seven faculties and institutes: FASS, IME, FCE, FW, FBE, FMPE, IESEM.
Tasks of the Olympiad consisted of six tasks of the main sections of the theoretical mechanics: statics, kinematics, dynamics, analytical mechanics. Accordingly, the task of static was evaluated in 15 points, with kinematics in 25 points, and with Dynamics and analytic mechanics in 40 points, the maximum score in Olympiad – 80.
In General, the participants of the Olympiad showed relatively high levels of knowledge. Among them were the winners: I place - K.Vidiakina (FASS, gr.VL-21); II place - P.Potapenko (IME, gr.MP-21); III place - R.Kotvytskyi (FASS, gr.VL-21).
