Civic formations for policing used to exist in every organization of the country. But after Soviet Union breakup the society was almost eliminated from the fight with crime for a while. The number of civic formations to protect public order - the former People's guards - has decreased dramatically. However, despite the hard times, they have reminded and come into use. In NTUU “KPI” the civic formation for policing was found in 1992. So now we have been using the accumulated over the years best practice. This is one of the components in securing discipline on the university campus. The collaboration with law enforcement makes a significant contribution in providing civic formation with effective work.
The members of the student civic formation of keeping public order and state border of NTUU "KPI" in Solomyanskyj district of Kyiv regularly carry out work on prevention, detection and the disclosure of violations. For excellent results in maintaining order on a university campus headquarters of civic formation for the protection of public order in NTUU "KPI" was repeatedly encouraged by departmental awards, acknowledgments and certificates. According to the results of activity in 2012, it is recognized again as one of the best units of Kyiv civic formation for the keeping public order and state border and was awarded with the diploma of the Kyiv City State Administration, 3rd degree. And the most active members of civic formation received for their work gratitude from rector.
