03.06.2013 The regular meeting of the Academic Board of the university took place on 3 June 2013. It began with the ceremonial part during which Ihor Leonardovych Pioro was presented with the mantle, the diploma and the badge of The Honorary Doctor of NTUU "KPI". Yurii Ivanovych Yakymenko, Deputy Chairman of the Board and First Pro-Rector, introduced the visitor and invited him to read a brief lecture on the current state of the global energetics and its prospects. In his report Ihor Leonardovych compared the volume of generation and use of electricity in different countries of the world (Ukraine, Russia, USA, Italy etc.).
Next, the First Pro-Rector congratulated people celebrating their anniversary - docent Mykola Valentynovych Pechenyk, Head of the Long-Term Development Committee, PhD, and professor Volodymyr Omelianovych Kapustian, Head of the Department of Mathematical Modelling of Economic Systems, ScD. Yurii Ivanovych also wished happy birthday to professor Nataliia Dmytrivna Pankratova, Deputy Research Director, ScD. After the congratulations, Mykola Heorhiiovych Kryshchuk was awarded a professor certificate. The next item of the agenda was rewarding Osamu Midsutani, Director of the Ukrainian-Japanese Centre of NTUU "KPI", for his activity while occupying this position. The report was made by Serhii Ivanovych Sydorenko, Pro-Rector. For his significant contribution to the development of collaboration between Ukraine and Japan Osamu Midsutani was awarded a badge of merit of the Academic Board of NTUU "KPI". The third item was the awards ceremony for the winners of the Nadra Bank competition for the best student project. The report was made by Hennadii Borysovych Varlamov, Pro-Rector. The winning students received scholarships from the bank. Some of the best projects were the ones concerning cash management and drawing the deposits of the population. Finally, issues concerning competitions and other current affairs were discussed. Among other things, professor Yurii Mykolaiovych Kuznietsov was presented to the distinguished people of science and education as a candidate for receiving the lifelong State Scholarship of the President of Ukraine after preliminary consideration at the Expertise and Qualifications Committee.
