5th international specialized exhibition “Metal-working manufacturing. Toolware. Plastics- 2013” tooks place in Kiev at the International exhibition centre on March, 26-29. It was aimed at demonstration of all science and technology achievements, which could accelerate economic development of Ukraine. Also this exhibition should favour the establishments of business connections, economic ties and dealings between domestic companies and foreign incorporated companies. Much attention was given to machine tool industry and innovations in mechanical engineering. Well-known manufacturers from Russia, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Bulgaria, India and, of course, a lot of famous domestic vendors participated in the exhibition. KPI also took part in the exhibition. Moreover, it was the only University of Ukraine that participated in this activity. Innovations and technology exposition and distribution of information in official catalogue were arranged by the intellectual property and commercialization of university science designs department. (O. O. Oreshnikova, head manager).
KPI scientists presented a new generation small-sized workbench with computer control, including parallel kinematics. Due to a number of registered technical solutions all workbenches are competitive at the market. Such postgraduate students, as O.O. Stepanenko, O.I. Rozhko, P.B. Keba, K.O.Oliiynyk (Head of research department, professor of design tools and machines department, Y. M. Kuznetsov, Associate Professor of Technical Sciences). A great interest among visitors was caused by Innovations in surface material processing for composite materials laser welding, laser sealing of cutting edge, thin-sheet metal products high hardness technology and wear resistance of heavy duty friction assembly by lazer radiation technology( head of research department- L.F. Golovko, professor of lazer, physical, engineering technologies department (MMI), and also high-performance technology of sealing light-metal structural alloys by means of supersonic stroke treatment ( head of the research - S.M. Voloshko (IFF), Professor of the metal physics department). During the exhibition we got a lot of proposals to interchange experience and set up new commercial relations. A lot of interesting and useful collective visitings were arranged by teachers and students of MMI.
