“Roads of the Land of Knowledge” is the collection of essays published at the end of last year. These essays were published in the popular science magazine for young people “Land of Knowledge”. Authors are represented by three generations of National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”. They are veteran of “KPI”, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, associated professor Levkivsky P.T.; Doctor of Engineering, professor, Honored Inventor of Ukraine Mikhulyonok I.O.; student of Physico-Technical Institute of NTUU “KPI” Revutska L.O.. This collection includes the essays on history of science and technology. The main characters of the stories are English physicist Thomas Young, pioneer of astronautic Kondratyuk (Shargey) Y.V., founder of practical astronautics Korolyov S.P., the first astronaut Haharin Y.O., German physicist Konrad Roentgen. A number of publications cover topical problems of modern science. They in particular are about magnetic hydrodynamics, and studies conducted at CERN – International Research Centre for High Energy Physics. There are also essays on the history of invention of usual things: paper, buttons and pen. The collection would be interesting for pupils, students and anyone else interested in popular science.
